(More customer reviews)Produces a reasonable amount of light that can be directed downwards with the fins so that it illuminates the floor without being blindingly bright when you look directly at it. This is a great choice for lighting a hall or doorway where you don't want to illuminate the whole room. It takes up enough space that it is difficult to use the second outlet for anything other than a small two-prong plug, so this is not a great option if you often need the second outlet for something with a power-brick. It looks good - very much like a theatre-style path-light and is not obtrusive. The sensor turns it on when there is a low light level but there is no on-off switch. Not a big deal as the LED should be using very little power. It does not generate perceptible heat when in use.
