(More customer reviews)I tried one of these ride-n-view systems out at the MNS POWER show room in Temp Arizona. The DVD player came right on and allowed me to play a video with little effort. The spin bike friction adjustment allowed me to adjust the workout difficulty level from light to difficult so that part of the exercise bike works the same as a normal spin bike.
Two things to note: (1) This particular spin bike is a free wheel type spin bike that is much safer for beginner riders and children. This is because with most spin bikes being used today there is no free wheel. So people who are pedaling fast on the spin bike can injured if they put their foot down to get off and the pedal comes around and whacks their leg really hard! I have seen first hand where a pedal came around and tore the skin on two different people.So the freewheel is the way to go for safety. What you give up with a free wheel is the ability to spin backwards during your work out. So you can only pedal in one direction.(2) The ride and view comes in pieces so you will need to follow instructions to assemble correctly.
