(More customer reviews)I got this as a present for my wife on a whim during a lightning deal. When it arrived I was really surprised by how high quality it was. Hefty bolts, thick rubber wheels, beefy spring loaded locks to connect the top part to the base. Also, I was really impressed that it contained all the tools to put it together, two wrenches and even a full size Phillips screwdriver. Overall, it really feels like a high quality professional-style machine, not the flimsy made-in-China stuff I'm used to.
As for the actual quality of the corn popping, I have no complaints. You pour in two tablespoons of oil and some popcorn kernels and a minute or two later it's all popped. I was pretty impressed with how fast it was done popping, compared to the hot air poppers I'm used to. The only thing I wish was that there was some way to add the butter too, you've just got to melt that yourself in the microwave or whatever and add it after the fact. Overall though, I'm really satisfied with this purchase.
